The 2015 Create Project in Southern California was at John Murdy Elementary School. A new playground was installed for the Upper Grades area, a sand-table and a toss-up free standing unit was installed for the Kindergarten area. A total of 7 murals were painted, 6 of which were various logos of the school’s mascot ‘Mustang’ and included wordings that represents the school’s core values. The other mural was a 8′ x 70′ fence in the Kindergarten area, it was painted with a ‘school supplies’ theme to provide a more vibrant environment. The pavement encompassing the play area was a huge project. All pavement games were freshened up with colors, some of which includes the basketball courts, handball courts, tether balls, and four squares. Donations of new benches and play equipment, ie soccer balls, hula hoops, four-squares balls will provide enough seating and toys for all to share.
