The 2013 Create Event was held at Miller School. One major project was the revitalization of the school garden. Planter boxes and benches were built. A shed filled with gardening supplies was donated. Stepping stones were painted colorful colors and laid throughout the garden. The existing Japanese garden had two intricate murals painted on the walls and two tables with seats built for the students to enjoy reading on their new Kindles that were donated. Nine additional murals were painted throughout the school, making this year’s mural project the most ambitious mural project to date. New books were donated for the library as well as bean bag chairs and rugs for the children to lounge on while reading. Continuing the vibrant color addition to the campus, the blacktop was painted with pavement games and a US Map.
